Mingo Bottom Golf Course is a Public 18-hole golf course located in Elizabeth, West Virginia.
Mingo Bottom Golf Course first opened for play in 1996. The course was designed by Chuck Furbee.
Mingo Bottom Golf Club is located only 1 mile from Elizabeth on the Little Kanawha River. The golf course rests on 180 acres of rolling greens, with ponds, and breathtaking views. The design includes hilly fairways with numerous sand bunkers strategically placed throughout the course. Water hazards are a significant part of the layout, especially on the front nine, where they come play on six of the nine holes. The back nine holes are more wide open, straighter and flatter. Now that the rough has fully grown on the back nine, accuracy on the fairways is more of a premium. The greens are medium in size and undulating throughout the course.
The signature hole is #3, a 174-yard, par 3, which features an elevated tee that plays across a water hazard. A large bank is situated to the rear, along with four bunkers. The tee shot must reach the green on this hole, or it is time to pull out your ball retriever.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6615 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5188 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 9, a par-5 that plays to 525 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 16, a par-3 that plays to 165 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 463 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 15, a 324 yard par-4.

There really is not much positive I can say about the course. I know there are not a lot of courses in the area, but this is little more than a pasture field. The island green par 3 10th hole was unexpected considering the course, but it is a weird place for it. The course is not short and does offer some challenging (but boring) holes. The greens are not too bad considering the overall course. Helps to play with someone who knows the course as their are some quirky/blind holes.
